Payload Verification & Validation Test Systems Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Verification and Validation Test systems engineer to join a major canadian space organization. The successful candidate will be apart of the System Engineering Department. This role will refine test cases and support the day-to-day test activities on the company's advanced communication payloads and satellites. Tasks: The system Engineer will be responsible and participate in the following tasks and activities : • Follow the V&V sequence development & Test Plans, test requirements, test matrices & lead Test procedures and automation, as applicable. • Define test case details and generate TRD inputs for test cases and generate test request • Definition of relevant EGSE software features, scripts & documentation. • identify the requirements for validating the verification matrix. • Assist in developing the existing architecture of engineering models (block diagram, family tree, equipment order tracking) • Linking the various professions involved in V&V to ensure that the various tests are carried out. • Follow AIT activities on the different phases and different payload models. • Post-process and evaluate test results. • Support In-Orbit Test (IOT) and Satellite Operations activities We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or pphysics • Previous experience in a validation & verification role/process in a high tech manufacturing, aerospace or related industry would be considered an asset • Knowledge of Excel, Python, JIRA & Confluence. • Previous demonstrated experience in System engineering • The ability to thrive in a complex environment, demonstrating autonomy and proactivity in seeking out information • An ability to question and have a global vision in order to innovate. • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English and French • Knowledge of LEO/MEO satellite systems, RF comms, broadcasting & networking protocols. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
