Payer Enrollment & Credentialing Specialist - Digitech
Overview

The Payer Enrollment & Credentialing Specialist is responsible for payer enrollments, revalidations, follow up issues with claim submissions, ERA retrieval, and eligibility issues. 

 

You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and potential business partners. This role requires an individual who understands the dynamics of client relationships, is comfortable representing the organization, and presenting information.   EMS experience and/or knowledge or understanding of medical terminology is helpful, but not required. Strong technical knowledge is a plus.

In this role for Digitech, you are our brand ambassador for our clients and the patients that they serve. You impact your line of business by ensuring our current clients’ needs are addressed and issues are resolved, and that our organization is always represented in a professional manner.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Assist with onboarding of new clientsEnsure all payer enrollments and revalidations are completed on deadline(s)Follow up on all claims issues and eligibility issuesBuild relationships with key client decision makersAct as a point of contact for assigned clientsAssist all parties, both internal and external, with implementation issues and billing inquiries, if necessaryAbility to navigate our software; learn how to run reports and see detail on our payment posting screen and pull up claims in the systemAble to collaborate with all internal teams including project management and client relations teams, as well as the Billing department

 

Skills/Experience Required:

 

EMS experience and/or knowledge or understanding of medical terminology preferredAble to organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete all work assigned, and report on each project’s progress and statusKnowledge of lockboxes is preferredKnowledge of ticketing systems is strongly preferredStrong computer skills. Experience with MS Outlook, Word, Excel requiredAbility to learn new computer systems & software and understand workflowsAbility to deal calmly and effectively with situations via telephone while maintaining and promoting a positive company imageExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to present information and solutions in a professional and courteous manner.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
