Position: Patient Access / Emergency Room Manager Location: Mission Hills, CA Schedule: Primarily day shifts, Monday–Friday, but must be willing to help cover other shifts as needed Experience: 3–5 years in hospital leadership, patient access, schedule management, and operations management; experience with HIM, credentialing, or related areas is a plus Team Size: Oversees 30 caregivers for the department as a whole Job Description: + Lead and mentor a large team, ensuring a positive and productive work environment + Oversee all aspects of patient access, including registration, insurance verification, and compliance + Manage department schedules, staffing, and operations + Partner with HR on employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and training + Implement process improvements and maintain adherence to regulatory requirements + Prepare and present department performance reports + Provide hands-on support and step in as needed to maintain workflow continuity + Covering for a leave of absence (likely to become permanent) Required Skills & Qualifications (Both Roles) + Hospital experience required (trauma center preferred for Supervisor) + Strong leadership, schedule management, and operations management skills + Excellent communication and team-building abilities + Customer service and patient intake expertise + Proficiency with MS Office Suite; EPIC/EMR experience a plus Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mission Hills, CA.
