Responsibilities • Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher or bed to designated sites as requested, including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, monitors and other equipment.[ • Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers. • Delivers equipment and specimens to requesting staff or department. • Greets and provides information and direction to patients and visitors. Education: • High school diploma/GED or three (3) years of relevant work experience required. Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English Complexity of Work: • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Personal Protective Equipment: • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Licensure / Certification / Registration: • Required Credential(s): • BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
