Position: Patient Support Specialist
Location: 100% Remote
Contract Duration: 6 months with the possibility of permanent placement
Pay: $21 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Patient Support Specialists to join our team. This role involves supporting inbound and outbound calls for patients seeking financial assistance for their medications. You will guide patients through a series of questions to help them enroll in financial assistance programs. The primary focus will be on assisting patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and providing them with information regarding their medication costs, co-pays, and potential discounts.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Handle inbound calls from patients seeking financial assistance.
+ Conduct follow-up outbound calls as needed.
+ Review patient benefits and provide information on co-pays and deductibles.
+ Assist patients in identifying manufacturer coupons and discounts.
+ Transfer calls to third-party pharmacies as necessary.
+ Maintain professionalism and empathy while communicating with patients and healthcare professionals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in healthcare.
+ At least 2 years of call center experience.
+ Proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
+ Comfortable using various software and technology tools.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Empathy and patience in addressing customer needs.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Training Information:
+ Onboarding training will last for the first two to two and a half days, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST or PST, depending on your location.
+ Program-specific training will last approximately 6 weeks.
+ No PTO will be authorized during the training period, and candidates should be available for the entirety of the training duration.
+ Shift hours after training will be determined based on business needs and will fall within the program's hours of operation: 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM EST.
Note: Candidates should not plan for time off during January and February or during the training period.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
