Four of these clinics are located on the Harborview campus and one clinic is located off-site on Eastlake Ave in Seattle.** **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** + Maintain prior authorizations for various health insurance with the network of specialty services + Under general supervision, perform specialized clerical and technical duties to facilitate the delivery of patient care + Function as an expert in both patient service area and registration; perform the work of registration and scheduling or unit coordination + Follow an effective workflow for the referral process to address both internal and external referrals, as well as communicating with referring providers + Follow processes for specific subspeciality referrals with physicians + Oversee referral process and ensure compliance with process + Maintain a database for tracking referrals using EPIC + Create, maintain, and adjust provide templates per provider requests **REQUIREMENTS** + High school graduation or equivalent + Two years Patient Services Specialist experience + OR + An equivalent combination of education/experience **ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER** As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
