Patient Services Representative (Full-Time)

Description –

You’ll be the friendly face that welcomes patients with a smile, guiding them through their financial responsibilities and ensuring they understand their copayments. You’ll also be the go-to person for updating patient demographics and insurance details, making sure everything runs smoothly. Join us and be a part of something truly impactful!  

Responsibilities:  

Help patients navigate the healthcare system by providing clear and understandable instructions  Assist with administrative duties in the office including but not limited to scanning of medical records and faxing  Assist patients in education of financial responsibility and connect them to advocacy resources as needed  Obtain signature of patient or family member for consent to treatment and financial responsibility following the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) rules and regulations  Confirm/verify insurance benefits with the appropriate carrier via online verification systems or telephone inquiries  Collect copayments and any other applicable patient payments at the point of service  

Schedule: 10 hour shifts. Rotating days, weekends, and holidays. The primary shifts are 11AM-9PM, 2PM-12AM, 5AM-3PM, 9PM-7AM, but could include others as needed. This position will mostly work in the Emergency Department and Bed Control, but could be pulled to Main Registration and Bed Control at the Hospital.
