Patient Services Representative
Description We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Patient Services Representative/Call Center Agent to join our team at a healthcare organization on a temporary basis. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative tasks in a call center environment. Your ability to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accuracy will be key to ensuring patient satisfaction. Shift Time: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Location: On-site in Tacoma, WA + Respond to inbound patient calls, providing assistance with appointment scheduling, general inquiries, and other needs. + Handle patient registration by collecting and updating demographic, insurance, and contact information accurately. + Verify insurance coverage and eligibility to ensure accurate billing and payment processes. + Process referrals and pre-authorizations required for medical services. + Assist with managing and resolving issues prior to patient visits, such as insurance discrepancies or missing documentation. + Coordinate appointments and follow-up services for patients based on their care needs. + Maintain the confidentiality of patient data by adhering to HIPAA and privacy guidelines. + Follow up with patients regarding cancellations, rescheduling, or updates to appointments and services. + Monitor and document patient interactions in accordance with organizational procedures and systems. Requirements + Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration or customer service is preferred. + Experience: Previous experience in healthcare, medical call centers, or customer service roles is strongly preferred.
