Job Description
Insight Global Health is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator/Medical Assistant (PSC/MA) to support outpatient operations through a 0.50 FTE Medical Assistant and 0.50 FTE Patient Service Coordinator split. This centralized position works across specialty centers in Bethesda, MD to maintain efficient clinic flow and deliver exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and internal staff. Responsibilities include directing and monitoring patient flow, ensuring timely room placement, providing cross‑coverage for full‑time MA and PSC roles, obtaining and recording vital signs, preparing patients and exam rooms for visits and procedures, adhering to aseptic and infection control standards, operating clinical equipment, and performing phlebotomy when needed. The role includes collecting and processing specimens, recognizing and responding to emergencies including administering CPR, assisting patients with mobility and transfers, maintaining and stocking clinic rooms, handling prescription refill requests and messages, and properly disposing of linens and biohazard materials. Additional duties include managing the room assignment grid for clinic providers, independently resolving room and flow issues, supporting medical records preparation, providing telemedicine triage, completing full-time MA functions during absences, and performing other delegated tasks to support smooth clinic operations.

Skills and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
Certified/Registered MA (CMA, AAMA, RMA, AMT, NAHP) or ability to obtain within 180 days
Current CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross) EPIC experience
