patients primarily through handling incoming and outgoing phone calls Responsibilities include scheduling appointments answering routine inquiries verifying insurance coverage managing referrals and maintaining accurate records and accounts This role is key to creating a positive patient experience by facilitating clear communication among patients healthcare providers and clinical staff ensuring smooth and efficient office operationsThe ideal candidate will provide timely accurate and friendly patient access while adhering to clinical appropriateness and patient privacy standards The Patient Service Coordinator also manages correspondence from patients caregivers and healthcare providersKey responsibilities includeDelivering outstanding customer service aligned with the HHC brandGreeting patients in person or by phone and taking detailed messages as neededServing as backup for patient check in and check out dutiesUtilizing Epic patient portals appointment reminder systems mobile apps and other technologies to schedule communicate and maintain patient recordsHandling high call volumes efficiently by following established proceduresCoordinating with clinical operations and providers transferring calls as necessary including handling complaints and escalationsScheduling appointments and informing patients about necessary preparations eg referrals x rays medical documents before
