maintaining records and accounts Responsible for creating a positive patient experience by facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers and ensuring efficient office operationsResponsible for scheduling appointments which will provide timely accurate friendly and clinically appropriate patient access The Patient Service Coordinator responds to incoming correspondence from patients caregivers healthcare providers and beyond in accordance with patient privacy and safety standardsDelivers exceptional customer service with the HHC brand experienceThoroughly review office schedules and obtain outside records and scan into the EMR system ensuring all pertinent lab work testing hospitalizations etc are available for the patientrsquos appointmentSchedules patient appointments and informs patients of essential preparation requirements prior to visit referrals x rays medical reports etcVerify patientrsquos insurance for ldquoactiverdquo status by performing eligibility through EPIC at times will need to call insurance carrier for verification andor use web portals obtain referrals as necessaryScanning all pertinent faxes for filing ie insurance approvals or denialsWelcomes patients in person cross trained at the front desk or on the telephone and takes detailed messages as neededManages high call volumes Follows Standard Work to ensure efficient patient experienceCorresponds with clinical operations andor providers as necessaryAssist with WQrsquos Worklists and Inbasket messages to remain currentWork
