Description We are looking for a dedicated Patient Registration Specialist to join our healthcare team in Warren, Michigan. In this role, you will support the intake and registration process for patients while providing exceptional customer service. This is a long-term contract position with midnight shifts (11 PM - 7:30 AM), including rotating weekends and holidays. Responsibilities: • Accurately register patients in the emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient settings. • Assist patients with technology and ensure a seamless registration experience. • Verify medical insurance information and ensure proper documentation. • Maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry during the registration process. • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families. • Collaborate with the department team to handle additional tasks as needed. • Adhere to healthcare protocols, including COVID-19 vaccination, flu shots, and occupational health screenings. • Work on rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet department needs. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in patient registration or related field. • Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. • Healthcare experience is preferred but not required. • Ability to work midnight shifts and rotating weekends/holidays. • Covid vaccination and flu shot compliance are mandatory. • Must be reliable and demonstrate strong initiative. • Familiarity with medical insurance verification processes is a plus.
