Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Registration specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves working during night shifts to ensure seamless registration and support services in a fast-paced emergency department setting. As a Contract-to-permanent position, this opportunity offers a pathway to long-term employment for individuals who excel in their responsibilities. Responsibilities: • Facilitate the accurate registration of patients during emergency department night shifts. • Maintain exceptional customer service while assisting patients and their families. • Utilize MEDITECH software to manage patient information efficiently. • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for incoming patients. • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure timely and accurate data entry. • Uphold confidentiality and compliance with health regulations during all interactions. • Conduct background checks, drug screenings, and health assessments as part of patient intake processes. • Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to patient registration processes. • Adapt to a dynamic environment while prioritizing tasks effectively.
