Description We are looking for a dedicated Patient Registration specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer service to patients and staff.
Responsibilities:
• Handle patient registration processes, ensuring accurate data entry and verification of information.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Utilize MEDITECH and other healthcare systems to manage patient information effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient intake and registration workflows.
• Verify medical insurance coverage and facilitate the necessary documentation.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare procedures and regulations during all registration activities.
• Assist in managing bed board assignments and emergency department schedules as needed.
• Adhere to dress code policies, including wearing provided Royal Blue Polo shirts and black slacks.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Support receptionist duties, including answering calls and directing patients to appropriate services. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in patient registration or a related healthcare role.
• Proficiency in MEDITECH and familiarity with healthcare administrative procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries professionally.
• Knowledge of medical insurance verification processes and healthcare regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• All candidates are required to complete pre-employment assessments, including verification checks and health evaluations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare administration is a plus. TalentMatch®
