ChristianaCare is looking for a Patient Guide to greet patients and visitors arriving at Christiana Care and issue visitor passes as needed. Provide a wheelchair, give directions, and answer questions and monitor parking lots.

Duties and Responsibilities:Assist patients and visitors in and out of their vehiclesAssist patients/visitors with wheelchairs and transporting them to their destination as neededCoordinate and assist with traffic flow, and parking operations at assigned locationAnswer patients/visitors questions, and provide directions as neededReport suspicious or dangerous activity at entrance/parking lots to public safety to ensure patient, visitor, and staff safetyAssist public safety officers and follow protocols for various code alertsApply excellent customer service skills and ChristianaCare core values to support patients and visitorsPerform related duties and other ancillary tasks as needed per managementHours: Monday through Friday 12:30p - 9p

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Graduate preferred

Customer Service Experience

Driver's license in good standing

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability RequirementsExcellent verbal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and the general populace.Basic computer skillsAbility to read, write and perform basic arithmeticAbility to work in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment while maintaining a positive attitude and exemplary customer serviceAbility to work within a team environmentAbility to maintain knowledge and communicate said knowledge verballyAbility to drive and operate various vehiclesGood physical condition, with the ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.Good hearing and eyesight, and possess the capacity of driving and performing overall job tasks safely.Perform job requirements in various types of weather and conditionsPhysical demands:

Must be able to lift 20lbs and push patients in wheelchairs.

Working conditions:

Frequent exposure to various weather conditions often for extended periods

Occasional exposure to bodily fluids

Occasional exposure to vehicle exhaust fumes and fluids

Hourly Pay Range: $16.50 - $23.93

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
