We are seeking a Patient and Family Concierge (PFC) to join our team!
This position involves answering phones, preparing patient charts for tests, scheduling follow-up appointments for discharged patients, and ensuring patient comfort by providing water, changing linens, and keeping personal items within reach. The schedule includes rotating days, evenings (until 10:30 p.m.), weekends, and holidays, with 12-hour shifts starting at 6:00 a.m. and ending by 10:30 p.m. If you are passionate about patient care and thrive in a dynamic hospital environment, we encourage you to apply and make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities:
Welcome and escort patients and visitors to correct locations. Provide hospital info and issue parking passes and scooters. Track patient belongings at admission. Clean and organize patient rooms and public areas. Restock supplies and change linens. Report maintenance issues. Prepare and serve meals per dietary orders. Deliver trays and confirm patient identity. Safely transport patients, equipment, and specimens. Disinfect and inspect transport equipment. Set up, sanitize, and test telehealth carts. Order and stock unit supplies and equipment. Monitor inventory, expiration dates, and temperature logs. Answer phones, respond to call lights, and assist patients. Follow safety protocols and report incidents. *Performs in accordance with all other system-wide competencies/behaviors. *Performs other duties as assigned.
