Job Description
The Patient Care Technician works under the direction of a registered nurse, focusing primarily on maintaining a safe and clean environment in patient rooms and service areas. Additionally, the role involves assisting licensed personnel with basic patient needs and monitoring health and vital signs.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain a safe and clean environment in patient rooms and service areas.Assist licensed personnel with basic patient needs.Monitor and record health and vital signs.Follow directions from registered nurses.Essential SkillsProficiency in taking vitals and patient bedside care.Experience working as a CNA, CMA, or PCT in an acute setting for a minimum of 2 years.Certification or licensure as a CNA, PCT, or CMA.American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA - BLS) certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School graduate or equivalent.Work Environment
The role is situated in an acute care setting, requiring attentive patient care and collaboration with licensed medical staff. The environment demands adherence to health and safety standards, ensuring a clean and organized facility.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.
