Description We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout their care journey. Your ability to coordinate schedules, manage financial information, and advocate for patients will be critical to the success of our practice.
Responsibilities:
• Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming environment from the moment they arrive.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, adjusting plans as needed to accommodate patient needs and office priorities.
• Provide clear explanations to patients about treatments, procedures, and recommendations to promote understanding and trust.
• Collaborate with dental professionals to organize treatment plans and ensure follow-up appointments are properly arranged.
• Address patient questions or concerns, escalating issues when necessary to maintain satisfaction.
• Present detailed financial information to patients, including insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and payment options.
• Submit and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely processing and payments.
• Handle payment collections and maintain accurate financial records for all patient accounts.
• Keep patient records updated and secure, adhering to all confidentiality regulations and compliance standards.
• Act as a patient advocate, building strong relationships through empathy and attentive care. Requirements • Strong customer service skills with a focus on empathy and professionalism.
• Experience in administrative tasks such as scheduling and managing patient records.
• Proficiency in handling patient calls and providing clear communication.
• Familiarity with financial coordination, including insurance claims and payment plans.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with dental professionals and other team members.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules and maintain office efficiency.
• Knowledge of patient confidentiality regulations and compliance standards.
• Prior experience in a healthcare or dental setting is preferred.
