We are currently seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join a respected client organization in San Diego, CA. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will serve as the liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring smooth and efficient communication and top-notch customer service. You will provide organizational and scheduling support while maintaining a compassionate and caring approach toward patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide stellar customer service by welcoming patients, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns professionally and empathetically.
+ Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records using medical scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR).
+ Verify insurance coverage and help patients understand billing and payment options.
+ Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring all messages are delivered and followed up on promptly.
+ Assist with preparation of medical documentation and administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and referrals.
+ Manage patient intake procedures, including obtaining medical histories and ensuring accurate forms are completed.
+ Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines regarding patient privacy.
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
Requirements
+ 1+ years of experience in healthcare or customer service roles required; patient care coordination experience is preferred.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency with medical office software and EHR systems (specific platform knowledge is a plus).
+ Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
+ Compassionate, patient-focused mindset.
+ Team-oriented and collaborative approach to work.
+ Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in medical administration or related fields is a plus.
