Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Care Coordinator in our location. In this role, you will be a crucial member of our healthcare team, where your primary responsibilities will include registering patients, verifying insurance and patient demographics, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the process of patient registration and pre-registration.
• Undertake verification of insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations.
• Ensure all patient demographics are accurately verified and updated.
• Handle collection of co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles from patients.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, answering inquiries and resolving issues.
• Manage patient medical records for our clinic, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Schedule appointments for patients, coordinating with healthcare professionals as needed.
• Respond to billing questions, providing clear and correct information to patients.
• Maintain a high level of proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for administrative tasks.
• Uphold policies and standards of conduct, promoting a detail oriented and respectful environment.
• Utilize your 10 key skills for efficient data entry and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the broader team to improve productivity and effectiveness of the department.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise correspondence.
• Handle inbound calls, providing information and assistance to callers.
• Oversee various benefit functions, ensuring patients are properly informed and procedures followed.
• Supervise the process of check processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and spreadsheets as required. Requirements • Proficiency in Customer Service, demonstrating a high level of understanding and experience in dealing with customer needs and expectations.
• Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, necessary for interacting with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets effectively.
• Familiarity with Policy development and implementation within a healthcare setting.
• Experience in Answering Inbound Calls professionally, addressing queries and concerns of patients.
• Ability to Schedule Appointments efficiently, coordinating between patients and healthcare providers.
• Knowledge of Billing Functions, including creating and sending invoices, managing accounts, and handling payments.
• Understanding of Insurance policies, claims, and processes relevant to healthcare.
• Experience in Supervising teams or individuals, guiding them towards achieving set objectives.
• Ability to create and deliver Presentations, conveying information effectively to various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions, including managing and processing employee benefits in a healthcare setting.
• Experience in Check Processing, managing transactions effectively.
• Proficiency in handling Correspondence, managing both inbound and outbound communication professionally.
• Proficiency in creating and managing Spreadsheets, handling data effectively.
• Ability to maintain high levels of Productivity, meeting targets and deadlines consistently.
• Familiarity with Clinical Trial Operations, understanding the protocols and procedures involved.
• Experience in Administrative Assistance, providing support to healthcare professionals and managing administrative tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of HealthCare.gov and its functionalities.
• Proficiency in 10 Key Skills, demonstrating speed and accuracy in data entry tasks.
• Experience in handling Authorizations, managing permissions and approvals in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to work within a Business Unit, understanding its objectives and working towards achieving them.
• Understanding of Deductible, Liability, and Copays in a healthcare setting.
