Patient Business Office Coordinator
Description The Patient Business Office Coordinator plays a vital role in the daily operations of our dental clinic. This position is responsible for overseeing front office functions, ensuring accurate patient registration, insurance verification, billing coordination, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental office administration and a strong understanding of Medi-Cal and managed care programs. Key Responsibilities: + Greet and check in patients, verify insurance eligibility, and collect co-pays or balances. + Coordinate patient scheduling and ensure efficient appointment flow. + Manage patient accounts, including billing, collections, and payment posting. + Submit and follow up on dental claims with Medi-Cal and managed care providers. + Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies. + Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues. + Train and support front office staff as needed. + Generate reports related to patient visits, collections, and outstanding balances. Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in healthcare administration or business preferred. + Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental or medical office setting. + Proficiency in dental billing software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and Microsoft Office Suite. + Strong knowledge of Medi-Cal and managed care billing practices. + Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. + Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
