Patient Access Supervisor

Description We are looking to induct a Spvsr Med Clin Ops into our team in the Healthcare industry, based in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is pivotal in supervising the daily operations of our unit, ensuring optimum utilization and effectiveness of the assigned personnel. You will be tasked with managing the production of the Patient Access team and assisting in the overall operations of the department.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and direct the performance and production of work teams for efficient workflow
• Have a functional understanding of computer applications for operational purposes
• Demonstrate leadership skills and analytical thinking in managing daily operations
• Understand insurance policies including Commercial Contracts, Managed Care, and Government Programs
• Possess knowledge of basic medical terminology to ensure effective communication
• Ensure adequate coverage of all positions at all times by supervising the work schedule
• Delegate training and orientation tasks to new staff members
• Evaluate staff performance and assign responsibilities accordingly
• Provide counsel to employees on registration and performance areas that need improvement
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and feedback to staff, adhering to the admitting department's policies and procedures
• Ensure staff compliance with safety, environmental, and infection control standards
• Leverage technology to optimize internal resources and improve work and information flows
• Participate in administrative staff meetings and other assigned meetings
• Contribute to departmental meetings with suggestions and methods to enhance the quality of department/hospital operations
• Review operational reports, identify opportunities and problems, and recommend solutions for improving customer service, patient throughput, and process flow. Requirements • Must possess excellent Customer Service skills and experience
• Proven experience in Training staff members
• Solid understanding of Operations within a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of Procedures and Policy development and implementation
• Compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
• Experience in Planning Processes and strategic execution
• Ability to ensure Quality control and improvement
• Familiarity with Insurance processes in the healthcare industry
• Previous experience in Supervising teams
• Proficiency in time management software such as About Time
• Strong Leadership Skills required
• Experience in Production planning and execution
• Knowledge of Optimization techniques and Methods
• Ability to provide effective counselling to staff members
• Experience in managing Daily Operation of a healthcare facility
• Ability to liaise with Appropriate Personnel within the healthcare setup
• Experience working with Offshore teams is a plus
• Proven experience in conducting Staff Meetings
• Knowledge of Patient Access processes and regulations
• Proficiency in Computer Programs relevant to healthcare management
• Knowledge of ST Microcontroller is a plus
• Experience in managing Daily Production in a healthcare setting
