**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**
The Shift Lead Associate provides in-the-moment supervision to team members to address procedure and behavior issues as they occur. The incumbent also provides line-level technical expertise to support all functions performed by the team to which the incumbent is assigned. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing and providing feedback for quality and productivity to team members, as well as investigation and resolution of the most complex tasks performed by the team.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES:** The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
+ Ensures that all departmental and organizational policies and procedures are followed by addressing, in the moment, deviation(s) from expectations. Properly documents summary electronically to team member with copy to team leadership for determination if follow-up action is appropriate.
+ Serves as a technical resource for the team to include full knowledge of team tasks performed within the electronic medical record, billing, insurance systems and other systems used to complete the team tasks. This includes assisting in the development and maintenance of team specific procedures. Provides additional, post-classroom training to new staff members as well as re-education to existing staff members on team tasks.
+ Performs detailed quality and productivity audits for all tasks performed at the individual contributor level. Provides weekly feedback on quality and productivity of work which includes identification of errors and education of accurate processes.
+ Ensures sufficient staffing levels for current and shifts within the next 24 hours. This includes taking calls, while on duty, for all unscheduled absences. Coordinate with on-duty team members and contact off-duty team members to meet coverage needs using standard written procedures. Makes daily assignments at the individual contributor level to meet all team responsibilities for the shift. This includes daily coordination, delegation and assistance in workflow management within the team. This includes adjusting staff and assignments to meet the needs of the fluctuating patient volumes.
+ Provides expertise regarding all State and Federal regulatory requirements related to team activities. Investigates and resolves complex issues received via email, telephone or face to face interactions with staff or patients. Many of these require an in-depth investigation to resolve the issue. May also be asked to serve as team member on multi-department projects that include team functions.
+ Assists the Manager and Team Manager in the hiring of personnel by completing any objective components of the candidate rubric, participating in the interview process and completing the standard interview evaluation form for each interview.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ Highschool diploma or equivalent
+ Two (2) years of experience in registration and/or customer service or a combination of both required
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):**
+ (One) 1 Year registration experience preferred
