As a Patient Access Representative, you will ensure patients and visitors have an exceptional experience throughout the entire registration, intake and scheduling process. Patients and their families are looking for an empathetic, warm individual who is comfortable with entering patient rooms, helping with registration at the bedside, offering small comforts and handling sensitive conversations such as co-pay collection with compassion and professionalism.
Caregivers in this role will work from 8:00am – 4:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform registration and obtain information about demographics, insurance, medical and financial. Crosstrain to staff all areas of patient access, such as front desk, admitting office, ED and cash register. Function as a Super User and act as a resource for the training of new caregivers. Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience in a customer facing role with in person or phone contact OR an associate’s degree which may substitute for up to 1 year of the stated experience OR a bachelor's degree which may substitute for up to 2 years of the stated experience

Physical Requirements:
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information. Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods. Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment. In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system. In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
