Patient Access Manager
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Patient Access Manager to lead and oversee registration operations across five key entry points: Emergency Room, Radiology, Main Registration, Lab, and Medical Office Building. This role is the primary on-site leader, managing a team of 20 direct reports and ensuring exceptional patient access services. Key Responsibilities + Rotate on-call duties with the Team Lead every other weekend. + Provide leadership and operational oversight for all registration process areas, including pre-service and point-of-service financial clearance activities. + Assist in short- and long-term planning for patient access functions, actively managing budgets and costs. + Develop and implement action plans to meet organizational goals. + Monitor and manage operational metrics to achieve Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and budgetary targets. + Oversee staffing activities: recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and employee engagement. + Mentor supervisors and foster staff development aligned with organizational strategy. + Enforce departmental policies and assist in creating new guidelines as needed. + Communicate effectively with leadership, including Director and CFO, providing updates and solutions for process improvements. Skills & Qualifications + Strong customer service skills. + Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems. + Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage operations in a healthcare setting. + Supervisory experience including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management. + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Dickinson, ND.
