As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area.
**A caregiver in this position works 8:00am to 5:00pm.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area.
+ Assign tasks, monitor performance of and assists in training patient service representative.
+ Screen candidates, recommend hires, conduct performance appraisals and recommend corrective counseling.
+ Develop, implement, and oversee programs to improve appointment utilization such as, reminder, follow-up on no-show/cancellation program.
+ Coordinate activities and resolve operational problems.
+ Adjust employees, patients, and physicians' schedules to respond to operational problems.
+ Control and audit the reconciliation of day sheets including adjusting statistics in the computer data bank.
+ Produce reports as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Two years Cleveland Clinic outpatient scheduling experience or other equivalent position, which includes interacting with patients, physicians, and other departments on a problem resolution basis.
+ OR three years external outpatient scheduling experience where demonstrated experience includes resolving patient scheduling and the coordination of the work of others.
+ Associate degree may substitute for one year of experience.
+ Bachelor's Degree may substitute for the experience requirement.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking. Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech. Occasional lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
**Pay Range**
Minimum hourly: $16.47
Maximum hourly: $23.61
