An excellent opportunity to join Atlantic Health Care, Morristown, NJ. We are seeking a full-time Pathologists’ Assistant for our consolidated lab to join a team of 18 pathologists, 6 full-time PA’s and biopsy technicians. 

Under the direction of Board-Certified Pathologists, the Pathologists' Assistant will assist the Pathologist in the preparation and performance of all gross surgical examinations.

Essential functions:

Assists in the preparation and performance of surgical specimen dissection by ensuring appropriate specimen accessioning Obtains pertinent clinical information and studies Ensures that surgical specimens are accurately accessioned Dictation and gross examination of simple and complex surgical specimens Prepares and submits tissue for histologic processing Obtains and submits specimens for additional analytic procedures (flow cytometry, IF, EM etc.)  Assists in photographing gross specimens. Participates in quality assurance and quality control procedures Opportunity for assistance in post-mortem examinations  Other duties as assigned by Management
