Pastry Chef

The Standard, Mexico City arrives in the historic Tabacalera neighborhood with character, color and a signature wink. The hotel will feature 206 rooms and suites, 27 branded residences and a leafy "secret" garden sure to become the city's favorite hideaway. Our debut in Latin America raises the aesthetic stakes, drawing from sun-washed CDMX architecture and a sensual, organic palette.

A bright café and late-night diner keep the ground floor lively from early mornings to the final nightcap. Above it all, a rooftop pool, signature restaurant and outdoor bar take in striking views of the Monumento a la Revolución. Each room and residence includes a private balcony, offering a front-row seat to the city.

We're looking for a Pastry Chef who believes that dessert should be just as unforgettable as the meal itself. Someone who combines craftsmanship with creativity, finds inspiration in every season, and knows that the smallest details often leave the biggest impression.

It's about creating moments people remember long after the last bite.

As our Pastry Chef, you'll shape everything from morning pastries to signature desserts, bringing artistry, precision, and imagination to every plate. You'll lead a talented team, challenge convention, and create desserts that are as playful, bold, and unexpected as The Standard itself.

You'll understand that the perfect finish isn't an afterthought—it's part of the story.

What You'll DoLead the pastry kitchen with creativity, consistency, and a hands-on approach.Design and develop seasonal desserts, pastries, breads, and specialty items that reflect The Standard's distinctive personality.Inspire, mentor, and develop the pastry team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.Ensure the highest standards of quality, presentation, food safety, and consistency across every offering.Partner closely with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership to create memorable dining experiences across all outlets.Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost while maintaining exceptional quality.Stay curious about trends, techniques, and ingredients, bringing fresh ideas that keep our pastry program evolving.Craft desserts worth saving room for—because the last bite should be every bit as memorable as the first impression.
