For a Michelin star restaurant, we are currently recruiting a PASTRY CHEF
Main Duties:
Development of specialty desserts for the Restaurant and Banquets. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all procedures. Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis. Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations requirements. Inspect the cleanliness and organization of the work station; rectify any deficiencies; maintain throughout the shift. Prepare and produce dessert menu items for the Restaurant and Banquets following recipes and yield guides, according to the standards. Keep Executive Chef informed of all responsibilities of Pastry Kitchen to include production schedules, dessert development, menu changes, etc Review status of work and follow-up actions required with the team before leaving. Ability to manage production and expenses of the Pastry Kitchen in line with budget and forecastRequirements:
Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef in a starred/fine dining/gourmet restaurant. Excellent organizational skills Ability to work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines Strong teamwork skills in a kitchen environmentLocation: Tuscany
