Job DescriptionCreate and produce a wide range of bakery and pastry items includingCroissants (classic, filled, and creative variations)Breads (sourdough, brioche, focaccia, baguettes)Cakes and cake batters (sponge, chiffon, pound, and layered cakes)Cookies, muffins, brownies, and barsTarts, eclairs, choux pastry, and mille-feuilleSeasonal and custom-designed baked productsInnovate and test new recipes with a focus on creativity, presentation, and tasteEnsure consistency in product quality and adherence to brand standardsSupervise daily operations of the bakery and pastry sectionMaintain cleanliness and uphold food safety and hygiene protocolsMonitor ingredient levels, manage ordering and inventoryLead and train junior staff to follow recipes and techniques correctlyCollaborate with the management team on menu development and seasonal offeringsStaying current and informed of useful culinary trendsEnsure compliance with food safety & sanitation regulations

QualificationsRequires 4 years’ experience in a high volume/high quality pastry production kitchenCulinary diploma or professional pastry certification is preferredCandidate must have advanced knowledge of pastries and desserts, sanitation and cost control.The candidate must have the ability to manage all aspects of a pastry operation.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent communication skillsExcellent leadership and interpersonal skills.Experience working with a diverse team.Requires the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment.Candidates must be able to communicate, read and write in English
