Pastry 3rd (Commis Pastry)

A Pastry 3rd is responsible for supporting the pastry section of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while assisting in the preparation and presentation of desserts and pastry items.

 

What will I be doing?

As a Pastry 3rd, you will support the pastry team while working closely with the Pastry Chef and senior chefs to deliver high-quality desserts and bakery items. You will assist in the daily preparation and organization of the pastry section to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Assist the pastry team with the preparation and production of desserts, pastries, and baked goodsFollow recipes and instructions from senior chefs to ensure consistency and qualityPrepare ingredients, basic pastry components, and mise en place for daily serviceMaintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section at all timesEnsure all food preparation areas meet food hygiene and Health & Safety standardsAssist with plating and presentation of desserts during serviceSupport stock rotation and proper storage of ingredientsWork collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service

Culinary or pastry qualification or trainingExperience working in a professional kitchen environmentAbility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, mornings, afternoons, and evenings
