Note- This job requires national travel and to work away from home. 

Mitie Fire Protection is currently seeking experienced Fire Door Installers to join our team. We are looking for directly employed installers to carry out both the installation and remediation of fire doors in accordance with third-party accreditation standards. At Mitie, we are proud to be FIRAS accredited, and we maintain high standards across all our operations.

Ideal candidates will be punctual, polite, and eager to work as part of a team. They should be capable of meeting tight deadlines, working independently without supervision, and communicating effectively with customers on-site. An understanding of the importance of paperwork, organisation, and adhering to company policies and procedures is essential. Installers must also ensure safety standards are upheld and quality control is maintained throughout every project, regardless of size. Responsibilities will also include cleaning up debris and disposing of hazardous materials in a safe and proper manner.

Applicants should ideally possess a minimum FIRAS certification in Fire Door Maintenance and Timber Doors, a CSCS Blue Card, a full clean driver's license, and at least two years of relevant experience. An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Joinery or a related trade is also required. Before any offer of employment is made, successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks, including reference and driving licence verification, and must meet the criteria for an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

In return, Mitie offers a competitive salary of up to £43,000 per annum, based on a 44-hour workweek (Monday to Thursday, 08:00–17:00 and Friday, 08:00–16:00). Employees will also receive a company van and fuel card, a company mobile phone, and 33 days of holiday per year (including 8 statutory days and a Christmas shutdown).
