Job Title: Passenger Assistant
Pay: £14.36ph
Duration: Ongoing - term time only (with school holidays, inset days, and bank holidays off)
Hours: 25 hours a week am/pm shifts Mon-Fri (Zero hours available contract)
Location: Rugby (CV22 7DL)

What does the job entail?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for caring and reliable individuals to join Warwickshire County Council's Transport Delivery Team. They are trialling a new minibus fleet to provide home-to-school transport across several locations. As a Passenger Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of children during their school journeys, supporting both the driver and the passengers.

You will achieve this by:Supervising and assisting students during boarding, transit, and disembarkingSafely securing wheelchairs and using restraint systems where necessaryProviding support and reassurance to young and vulnerable passengersCommunicating effectively with drivers, parents, and school staffManaging any incidents professionally, ensuring passenger safety at all timesParticipating fully in training and route familiarisation sessions
