Transdev in Chula Vista, CA is hiring a Parts Clerk. The Parts Clerk performs basic vehicle servicing, cleaning and fueling with limited supervision. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

+ $28.50/hr (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale)

+ Vacation:72 hours per year
+ Paid Sick Leave: 40 hrs per year
Distributes/delivers parts/supplied/documents and posts parts to work orders
+ Distributes requested parts to mechanics
+ Assists the Parts Supervisors with the delivery/pick-up of all documents associated with record retention
+ Receives parts requisition order forms from mechanics. Researches parts number either from manufacturer's supply catalogue or on computer
+ Obtains parts from bins and posts parts to computerized work order and compares labor code on requisition to computer code
+ Posts parts to work order on computer
+ Retrieves parts/supplies from outside vendor and delivers to specified address when directed
+ Performs audits of parts and materials
+ Orders parts and materials from various vendor networks
+ Stocks items into designated areas and monitors inventory
+ Physically places parts in the proper location after the items have been properly received
+ Annually and as needed, physically counts parts/supplies and gives information to Parts Supervisor
+ Advises Parts Supervisor of stock outs and low stock problems from information obtained from computer or by visual inspection
Performs housekeeping activities and other duties as assigned
+ Mops, sweeps floors and dusts counters and computers
+ Insures that parts/supply bins are orderly. Checks and labels bin boxes
+ Assists in other activities as assigned such as boxing parts for shipping
Qualifications:
·High School Diploma or equivalent
·2- 3 years of parts room experience
·Computer literate with strong attention to detail.
·Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
+ The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
+ Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
