Partner Technical Specialist-Automation
**Introduction** As a Technical Specialist for Application Development and Integration brand, you will act as a trusted advisor and technical expert, collaborating with clients, IBM sales teams, and Business Partners. By understanding clients' business and technical needs within the competitive landscape, you will leverage your expertise in IBM's product suite to deliver compelling solutions that drive investment. **Your role and responsibilities** Key Responsibilities: - Technical Ownership in Sales: Provide expert guidance and technical ownership in sales opportunities. - Early Sales Engagement: Support the initial sales process by conducting demos, developing proofs of concept, and facilitating workshops. - Collaborative Territory Management: Work closely with IBM sales teams and specialists to identify and manage sales opportunities. - Competitive Positioning: Articulate the value and advantages of IBM solutions over competitors. - Pre-sales Excellence: Uphold pre-sales best practices, including acting as a Client Architect, Trusted Advisor, Crisis Manager, and Business Partner Advocate. **Required technical and professional expertise** Client-facing roles require both professional and technical expertise, including: - Presentation & Proof of Value: Deliver impactful demos, proofs of concept, and pilots. - Trusted Advisory: Build strong relationships with customers and Business Partners. - IT Landscape Understanding: Analyze and align solutions with customer IT environments. - Solution Support: Assist customers in navigating technical challenges. - Business Partner Enablement: Support Business Partners in driving adoption and success. - IBM Application Development Integration Expertise - Deep knowledge of API Management (DataPower, API Connect, webMethods), ESB (App Connect, MQ, webMethods), Event Automation (Kafka), and Application Development (OpenShift, WAS, IBM DevOps).
