Partner - Public Practice

Our client, a mid-sized and fast growing public accounting firm with offices in Manitoba & Ontario are seeking an experienced Senior Manager for a newly created Partner position. You have have a proven track record and passion in delivering quality assurance work to a diverse mix of small and medium sized business clients. Key responsibilities will include:

Financial Statement Review and Compilation files. Client management and relationship building. Coaching and developing staff on projects and overseeing their career development. Review of year-end files (corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship) prepared by the staff. Communicating with partners and staff regarding client engagements and expectations. Being a key point of contact between clients and staff and effectively resolving issues that may arise. Providing the very best possible client service.

What the successful candidate will bring:

A CPA designation with a minimum of 5+ years of public practice experience at senior manager level with focus on assurance files. Proven ability to lead the productivity and performance of the entire team including managers and various levels of staff and students. Experience within Assurance and Review engagements including the planning, file review, team and client management and client communications. Solid knowledge of corporate and personal tax as it relates to small to medium sized clients. Strong communication skills including team file management, coaching and building strong client relationships. Highly organized and able to effectively manage deadlines. Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
