Duties/Responsibilities as a Dental Hygienist:
Perform dental cleanings and remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teethExamine patients for signs of oral diseases, such as gingivitis and periodontitisCapture diagnostic radiographs as neededApply preventive materials to teeth (e.g., sealants and fluoride)Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques (brushing, flossing, nutrition, etc.)Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in dental softwareAssist the dentist during examinations and procedures when necessaryMaintain a clean and sterilized working environment, including instruments and operatorySchedule follow-up appointments and communicate with patients about treatment needsStay current with dental hygiene best practices and continuing education requirementsKnowledge of general principles of dentistry and an advanced understanding of dental hygiene.
Salary Range: $45 to $47 per hour
Qualifications Active Dental Hygiene License as required by the stateLaser certificationCurrent CPR certificationPrior hygiene experience is a plus, but not required!Strong customer service skillsGood working knowledge of dental software (Denticon is preferred) Pay Range USD $44.00 - USD $47.00 /Hr.
