Part-Time Payroll Consultant - Remote (East Coast Hours Preferred)

Our client, a growing organization, is seeking a Payroll Consultant to support their payroll function on a part-time basis. This role is remote and requires availability to work East Coast business hours. The assignment is expected to run for at least four months, with potential for extension or expansion depending on company needs. This individual will take full ownership of payroll processing and related activities, serving as the sole payroll resource.

Responsibilities:

Process multistate, semimonthly payroll for 100+ employees using PaylocityManage employee onboarding and payroll updates in PaylocityEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulationsPrepare and distribute year-end payroll forms (W-2s)Support payroll-related month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations

Qualifications:
