What Patient Concierge contributes to Cardinal Health
Practice Operations Management oversees the business and administrative operations of a medical practice.
The Patient Concierge is the first point of contact for patients and family members at OncoLogics. This position is responsible for greeting patients, confirming demographic and insurance information, answering phones, provider scheduling, as well as other duties as assigned. Customer service skills and attention to detail are important to this role's success.
This position will work primarily three days a week, 8am-4/5pm, depending on need. There is the opportunity for this person to pick up additional hours during the week as well, if coverage is needed.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and familiesAnswer center telephones, distribute faxes, and prepare customer filesSchedule patient appointmentsReceive and correctly record receipts of patient paymentsEnter, verify and update patient demographic and insurance informationObtain insurance verifications (VOB), pre-authorizations and pre-determinationsProcess requests for records from outside sourcesScan data into document imaging softwareRegular attendance and punctualityContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededEnsures that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achievedPerform any other functions as required by managementQualifications
Ability to work a flexible schedule as necessaryAbility to type 40 wpm, preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent, preferredKnowledge of medical terminology, preferredOne year of medical office experience, preferredExperience accessing and updating an EMR system, preferredMain LocationOncoLogics

Anticipated hourly range: $15 per hour - $20.58 per hour
