Part time Medical Doctor
**Koniag Operations Services, LLC,** a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Part time Medical Doctor to support KOS and our government customer in Glynco, GA. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care in our occupational health unit, diagnosing and treating clients according to state and national standards. This position requires a dedicated medical professional who can work independently while collaborating with the larger healthcare team. **Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:** **Clinical Care:** + Assess, diagnose, and treat patients according to established medical standards + Perform comprehensive physical examinations, including vital signs assessment, audiometry, vision testing, spirometry, phlebotomy, and TB skin testing + Prescribe appropriate medications, treatments, and health regimens + Respond to emergency situations and provide necessary resuscitative measures + Administer medications via various routes (topical, oral, intravenous, intramuscular) + Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including x-rays and laboratory studies + Refer patients to specialists when medically appropriate + Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities + Authorize and coordinate specialty and ancillary services **Quality Management:** + Participate in quality assurance activities and data analysis to improve clinic operations + Maintain clinical competence and stay current with advances in medical management + Support operational leaders in implementing patient experience improvement initiatives + Monitor appropriate levels of care for clinic patients + Meet regularly with Medical Director to review policies, procedures, and outcomes **Supervision:** + Provide direct supervision to Physician Assistants, Nurse Coordinators, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Medical Assistants + Collaborate with the Medical Director and clinical leadership team + Assist with orientation of new clinical staff **Compliance:** + Maintain personal compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies + Adhere to federal and state privacy laws to protect patient confidentiality + Follow infection control policies and protocols + Complete and comply with Standard Operating Procedures and policies **Minimum Qualifications:** + Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Occupational Medicine or other specialty + Current, valid and unrestricted state license to practice as a physician in the state of Georgia + Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number + At least two (2) years of experience in occupational health or related fields (public health, community health, outpatient clinic, emergency department, ambulatory healthcare) + Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association + US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance + Valid driver's license with excellent driving record **Required Skills and Abilities:** + Sound clinical judgment and expert decision-making abilities + Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly when conveying sensitive information + Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with electronic medical records + Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a healthcare team + Willingness to enter into practice agreements with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as required **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to stand/walk for 8-12 hours at a time + Capacity to push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds + Ability to perform sustained repetitive movements (e.g., CPR compressions) **Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy** The company is an equal opportunity employer.
