Pay Rate: $25/hour
Position Summary
Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to support our Easthampton Outpatient Clinic. This role is essential in ensuring the physical and emotional wellness of youth clients through routine health assessments, medication coordination, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct routine health assessments and provide individual health education.
+ Schedule and manage psychiatric appointments and medication lists.
+ Check in patients, take vitals, and assist prescribers with clinical tasks.
+ Facilitate prescription refills and address medication-related inquiries.
+ Support administrative functions: consents, prior authorizations, billing, documentation, etc.
+ Communicate with staff and guardians regarding client health concerns.
+ Request and manage prior medical records and complete nursing documentation.
+ Administer injections, perform routine tests, and maintain EMR records.
Qualifications
Required:
+ High School Diploma
+ Minimum 1 year of experience in the medical field
+ Approved CORI, DCF, and driving background checks
Preferred:
+ Certification from a Medical Assisting Program
+ Experience in a psychiatric setting
+ Bilingual abilities
