Salary - $13.50/hour DAYS/TIMES: Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM Schedule when working Saturday: Tuesday – Thursday 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM Saturday – 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM In order to be considered for employment, applicant must scan and attach the required documentation to electronic application or mail to: BPCC, Attn. Bossier Parish Community College is an Equal Opportunity Employer. www.bpcc.edu Minimum Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Some college with at least one year work experience preferred. + Familiarity with computers, printers, and database research skills preferred. + Ability to lift, push and pull fully loaded book carts. + Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System. Job Duties and Other Information + Responsible for daily operations of the Circulation Desk including checking books in and out, shelving books, shelf reading, inventory, and statistics. + Responds to telephone and chat inquiries or refers users to the appropriate library staff. + Assists with readers’ advisory and location of materials. + Responsible for assisting with weeding collection + Cooperates as a team member with the Learning Commons’ faculty and staff. + Assist with the training of student workers. + Responsible for enforcing library policies and procedures at the Circulation Desk. + Conducts basic computer and printer troubleshooting; communicating with the Systems Librarian about any hardware/software problems that arise and need further attention. + Responsible for one-on-one instruction on the Internet, Library Databases, and various classroom software, such as Microsoft Office. + Answer phone and provide routine information or refer and transfer calls. + Monitor library by walking around periodically. + Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
