Job Summary:
My client is a lovely family of 3 looking to hire a highly organised and efficient housekeeper into their home. The household consists of mum, dad and their 6 month old little boy. They are looking for some excellent help in their household and someone to be a real asset in their home, someone to be super friendly and build an excellent rapport with the family.
The role will consist of all general housekeeping duties, such as tidying, laundry, cleaning, washing up, packing and unpacking of suitcases, some light food preparation, some light PA duties such as local errands (e.g. post office), booking appointments, and occasional help with planning holidays / trips (e.g. booking hire cars). The house is located in Clapham South and a super short walk from the tube station.
They are looking for a real self starter and someone who is highly proactive, efficient, organised and very keen to help out around the house! Someone to have great initiative and had experience to working in private households before in similar positions. They also need to be super responsible as they have a little one in the household.
The family also have a very friendly Labradoodle, but no pet duties will be required
Days and hours:
Monday to Thursday + Saturday OR Sunday – 20 hours per week, ideally 4 hours per day, 9am-1pm but the family are open to discussing working days / hours.
Job specification:
Clearing and cleaning of the common areas Light daily cleaning with some occasional deep cleaning – family employ a cleaner who comes one day per week. Organising the home Light PA duties of booking a car, sending back deliveries, waiting in for orders and unloading the food shop Food preparation, of cooking soups and chopping up some vegetables All laundry duties, ironing clothes, changing sheets Dusting surfaces, furniture, light fixtures, and appliances Wiping down counters, cleaning appliances (microwave, fridge, stove), washing dishes, and cleaning sinks in the kitchen Emptying bins and replacing the liners Changing bed sheets, pillowcases, and other linens Organising and straightening up common areas like living rooms, bedrooms, and entryways Clearing of clutter in the home and maintaining that going forward
Candidate specification:
3+ previous years experience in a private household Someone who is highly organised and time efficient – a self starter and happy to develop organisational systems within their home Happy to work in a home with a baby and a dog Friendly but discreet, with a keen eye for detail Pride in achieving a high level of cleanliness in their role Flexible and adaptable approach to work, proactive and able to work on own initiative
