Job Title: Part-Time Customer Service/Dock Position – Urgently Hiring
Pay: $21/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP – Temporary

We are seeking a Part-Time Hybrid Customer Service/Dock Worker for a temporary opportunity in Bangor, Maine. This unique role combines physical, hands-on dock work with customer-facing responsibilities. Candidates should feel comfortable working independently, as there may be times when they are the only person in the building.

This is a part-time, temporary role with potential for longer-term opportunities.
Dock Responsibilities:
Efficiently sort, load, unload, and handle palletized and non-palletized freight

Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment

Secure freight safely inside trailers using proper tools and supplies

Work in a non-climate-controlled dock area—conditions may include slippery floors

Lift and move freight up to 50 lbs frequently and over 70 lbs occasionally

Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Perform basic math—with and without a calculator
Customer Service Responsibilities:
Answer customer inquiries and assist with scheduling freight pickups and deliveries

Enter customer and freight information accurately into the system

Provide timely updates and solutions related to customer freight

Support residential and commercial customer needs with professionalism

Maintain and grow knowledge of services and systems

Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting with strong attention to detail
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Minimum age of 18 years old

Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset

Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written

Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to shifting priorities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Ability to pass a county-level background check

Preferred qualifications:

Previous dock/warehouse experience, ideally in a transportation or LTL environment

Forklift operation experience

Prior customer service experience in logistics or warehouse settings

Positive, professional demeanor and a desire to succeed
