You will join a team which has a focus on 2 main areas:
1. Laboratory Management
Support the Physico-Chemical Analysis and Fire Laboratories (Paron and Montereau) in alignment with ISO 17025 standards.Ensure the quality, reliability, and timeliness of test results and reports.Oversee laboratory planning, resource allocation, and prioritization of activities.Maintain COFRAC accreditation and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and uphold technical excellence across all laboratory domains.2. Materials & Compounds Engineering
Identify, develop, and qualify new materials to support innovation, cost optimization, and product reliability.Act as a subject matter expert on materials for internal teams (R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, QHSE) and external stakeholders.Manage raw materials and compounds for Telecom MV and HV cable production, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.Collaborate with the Compound Development and Characterization Centers (Paron and Quattordio).Support process optimization and formulation improvements to enhance material durability and performance.Maintain comprehensive documentation (technical specs, MSDS, REACH/RoHS compliance, SAP data entry).Qualifications:Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in R&D or quality laboratories, preferably in polymers, plastics, or rubber.Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 standards and laboratory best practices.Experience with compound formulation, material characterization, and process improvement.Proficiency in SAP and technical documentation management.Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Fluent in French and English.Prysmian , as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
