**Job Summary**
The Parking Specialist 1 provides high-level customer service. They help patients, visitors, medical staff, and employees access needed facilities. Under general supervision, the Parking Specialist 1 issues parking assignments to campus parkers. They issue photo ID badges to employees, volunteers, and students. They process tenant parking billing, post payments, and maintain account records. They may assist with new-hire orientation or provide materials to the HR team. The Parking Specialist 1 uses basic knowledge of systems, facilities, and garage structures. They use judgment to create access solutions and know when to escalate issues to leadership.
**Essential Functions of the Role**
+ Maintains database to record sale/issuance of parking tokens and permits.
+ Issues parking assignments to patients, visitors, medical staff, and employees who park a motor vehicle on campus.
+ Processes and issues photo identification badges to all employees, volunteers, students, and authorized contract employees.
+ Collects fees and issues receipts for parking token purchases and citation payments as applicable.
+ Maintain vehicle registration data by entering information into the database. Keep the actual form in a secure area for future reference.
+ Processes billings, posts payments, and maintains records for all tenant parking accounts.

+ Ability to provide consistently excellent customer service with empathy, patience and confidence.
+ Ability to understand the customer's point of view and take ownership of creating a solution to their issues.
+ Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
+ Basic computer skills, including but not limited to: typing, information security, hand held scanning and email.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
+ EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
