Our employees are at the forefront of safety and innovation; they create and implement the most advanced training and technology the transportation industry has to offer.** **Job Summary:** Responsible for maintaining and fueling all paratransit vehicles in support of the operations center. Also performs light maintenance on buildings and grounds as needed. $17.00/hr **Major Responsibilities:** + Open facility gates and inspect paratransit parking areas to ensure all vehicles are ready for timely dispatch. Reposition any vehicles obstructing yard traffic. + Open the fuel island, take accurate stick and meter readings, and submit inventory sheets at the end of the shift. + Maintain accurate fuel-related records, including: + Bulk Fuel Receiving Report + Fuel Variance Report + Closing Month-End Report + Meter Calibration Report + Notify Manager or designee when a fuel delivery is needed. Take accurate stick readings before and after delivery and ensure proper fuel delivery procedures are followed. + Check and top off fluids during fueling, including: + Oil + Antifreeze + Power Steering Fluid + Transmission Fluid + Brake Fluid + Windshield Washer Fluid + BeltsMaintain adequate supplies at the fuel island and communicate inventory needs to the shop foreman. + Inspect tires twice a week for damage and proper inflation; report any damage to the shop immediately. + Inspect all vehicles during fueling or as scheduled for physical damage; report findings to the Manager or designee. + Maintain spill kit inventory; notify the Manager when supplies are used or need replacement. + In the event of a fuel spill, follow proper containment procedures and notify the Manager or designee immediately. + Maintain inventory and supplies to perform minor repairs and vehicle washing. + Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors as required to maintain fleet cleanliness. + Perform light maintenance on buildings and grounds, including yard cleanup, grass/weed control, and other assigned projects. + Carry out additional duties as assigned by management. **Minimum Education/Certifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent required. **Minimum Experience/Skills Required:** + Strong time management and task prioritization skills. + Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, including drivers, customers, senior management, union officials, and the public. + Must be able to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. + Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are essential. **Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:** + Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year. + May be required to drive company or personal vehicle for operational duties. + Must be able to: + Hear, speak, and see clearly. + Use manual dexterity for paperwork and inspections. + Stoop, crouch, squat, or kneel to perform vehicle inspections. + Bend at the knees, hips, and waist. + Stand for extended periods during inspections. + Work in wet, cold, or hot conditions. + Write clear and legible reports. **Disclaimer:** This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
