Position Overview
Amergis Staffing is seeking five full-time School Aides / Paraprofessionals / Classroom Support / Behavior Technicians to support students across various school settings. These individuals will work under the supervision of the special education department, teachers, and designated staff to provide instructional, behavioral, personal care, and mobility assistance to students with diverse needs.
These roles offer the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and behavioral success. Positions are available at both the elementary and middle school levels, with one opening specifically targeting middle school populations.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide instructional and behavioral support under supervision of teachers and special education staff
+ Assist students with personal care, physical mobility, or therapeutic needs per health professional guidance
+ Support classroom management and student engagement
+ Implement behavior intervention strategies as directed
+ Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
+ Assist in documenting student progress where applicable
+ Collaborate with staff to support IEP goals and student needs
Minimum Requirements
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Current Health Certificate (per state/contract requirements)
+ CPR certification (if applicable)
Required Qualifications (Per District Guidelines)
Candidates must meet one of the following:
+ ParaPro Assessment: Passing score of 459 or higher
+ Two years of college: Minimum 60 credit hours from an accredited institution
+ Associate’s degree or higher
?? Note: Paraprofessional Certification must be obtained by February 1, 2026 — candidates may start the position before certification is earned.

+ 4 positions serving Elementary School populations
+ 1 position serving Middle School populations
+ Additional roles may include support across varied needs and programs
Standard School Hours (Placement Dependent)
+ Pre-K: 8:50 AM – 4:30 PM
+ Elementary: 8:25 AM – 3:55 PM
+ Middle School: 7:45 AM – 3:10 PM
+ High School: 7:15 AM – 2:45 PM
+ SITE Program (Ages 18–22): 7:10 AM – 2:30 PM
