Paraeducator (K–12)
Location: Lakewood, WA
Schedule: School Hours (Monday–Friday)
Pay Range: $21–$24 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking multiple dedicated and compassionate Paraeducators to join our team in supporting students across grades K–12. This role involves working closely with teachers and staff to provide instructional assistance, classroom management, and individualized support to students, including those with special needs.
Key Responsibilities
+ Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
+ Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to reinforce learning.
+ Support students with special needs, including academic, behavioral, and social development.
+ Monitor student progress and report observations to the classroom teacher.
+ Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
+ Supervise students during classroom, lunch, recess, and transition times.
+ Perform clerical tasks such as preparing materials and organizing resources.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional certification).
+ Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
+ Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with staff and students.
+ Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to student success.

The School Aide is an individual who works with studentsrequiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision ofthe special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide supportservices to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeuticcare needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, socialworker or other health care professional.
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required
+ Comply with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
