Paraprofessional – Middle School (Special Education) ?? Ashland, WI ?? Contract Position | Now through End of School Year ?? Pay: $19–$20/hr (DOE) About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support middle school students in Ashland, WI. This position requires experience working with children and students receiving Special Education services. The ideal candidate is confident in English Language Arts and Algebra, can support classroom instruction, and is comfortable collaborating with educators to ensure student success. Candidates must either hold a Wisconsin DPI Paraprofessional License or be willing to obtain it during onboarding (we will support you through the process). Key Responsibilities + Provide instructional and behavioral support to middle school students, including those with special needs. + Assist in English Language Arts and Algebra activities, reinforcing lessons and supporting comprehension. + Work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and administrators. + Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. + Support accommodations and modifications outlined in student IEPs. + Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and other assigned times. Qualifications + Experience working with children and Special Education students is required. + Ability to support learning in ELA and Algebra. + Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills. + DPI Paraprofessional License (or willingness to obtain during onboarding—support provided).
